I only use a nagura on the Norton 4000 and then only when I am removing nicks or old steel. After that point I wash off the slurry because the 4000 cuts so fast.

The nagura will make the Norton 8K cut faster but the edge is, in my opinion, not quite as fine. I really see no need to make the Norton 8K cut faster. It can be almost to fast for some razors without the nagura.
