Occasionally they show up on E-bay. I've got two, one was sent to me by my mother (was my grandfather's); the other I found at a junk shop for under a buck. The cheapest I've seen one go for on E-bay was about $20.

I did a search on ebay last night. found 1. Desription: In good condition except for crack about a 1/3 of the way down!
I will keep checkin on ebay.
It's not an original Austrian Swaty, but Tilly sells a NOS_ Premier_, 'Swaty' type hone. It is quite a bit smaller than the original Swatys, and it's made of a very different composite too. Even so, the _Premier_ is one of my preferred touch up hones. I keep one handy beside my rotation in my bathroom. Four or five light passes on the Premier will refresh an edge very effectively.Quote:

They are regularly sold on ebay, so keep checking and don't be hasty. I've won some for around 15 USD that were in almost mint condition a couple of years ago. Austrian Swatys have two surfaces, one side is slightly coarser than the other (according to the instructions that I have), so be sure the one you are bidding on is damage free on both sides!Quote:

I picked up one about 6 months ago on flea bay in mint cond with papers and directions and orig box . The paper work indicated it was made in Austria in 1903
The price was a bit exy ,but worth it

Bend over in a boys lockerroom.:D You'll get a wet towel swaty.
I think I have one. Found it of all places on a Google search. Picture showed it in excellent condition. Box also in good shape with papers. I emailed the seller Auntie B's antique auction. Price was $25+$6.00 Shipping. Sounded like a fair enough price if it's in as good a condition as she says it is.
Got my fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!
Probably arrive in at least 3 pieces.
