Those reflective places should meld into one long reflective bevel when looking at the edge from the side of the blade. Frowns are tons of work, especially after the blade has been breadknifed. Sounds like you have a way to go.

I took Utopeans advise and stuck with the 1k and kept doing laps untill the bevel was set the whole way. I guess what was throwing me off was I didn't realize how many laps it would take to set the bevel. I thought I must of been doing something wrong.
After the bevel was set it was a piece of cake. I went to the 4k then the 8k and finished with a Oozuku Jnat. I shaved with it this morning and wow, it really turned out great.
I learned a lot on this one, she put up a good fight.
