Well probably as good as I can get it. I was given 3 razors in March and only 1 was really shave ready. So I bought a set of hones from SRD Nani's, and went to work. Well I really botched the Case good, circles weren't my thing. (I will have to send it to a pro) So back to the Wiki.
I worked on my Henckles and got it to shave arm hair after 1k and then to the 4k and 8k (pyramid)
then as Lynn suggested 12k, .5 diamond spray on felt, roughed leather and the leather. And it shaved and I got a pretty good shave but it still wasn't quite right. I just chalked it up to learning, but after a few months it still wasn't great. So I looked at the edge thru a loop and compared it to the Simmons that has been well loved. And there it was the edges weren't even close, I could still see what looked like sand blasted finish on most of the edge. So back to the hones. It took me forever to get a good bevel set 1k (pro-honing is well, well worth it) then again 4-8 pyramid and so on.
And OMG what a difference. I finally got to do a south to north pass that didn't catch or scare the crap out of me. Even got some places BBS for a few hours. It only gets better from here.
Thanks to everyone who has given me advise and encouragement these past few months. Cartridges are now banned to International travel only from now on. Thats an even longer story for a different thread.
