    Default Barber hone experiment

Since B-HAD hit me in Dec i have a variety of grits. I deciede i wanted to try to hone a razor full from bevel to shave ready on the Barber hones. I started in setting the bevel but the razor i picked was in such bad shape i had to use my Chosera. Even on the Chosera it took alot of work. So after i set the bevel on my 1K i went on to the BH. Water only. Started with Aloxite with was laped 600 on the front and 1k on the back. I did circles then x patern on the front and the same on the back. I did this same routine for the following stones. Perfection then a fine Axloite. On the last hone is a Swaty. VERY smooth and hard. I just did x paterns. The 10 passes on Crox.

I was very impressed. Buttery edge. Smooth shave. Only a tiny bit of irritation on my Jaw line on one side. This happend sometime for me because of the growth patern on that side.

Oh this is also my 2nd time using BH. So i have some learning to do on these stones. I have been honing for about 1 1/2 years on Nortons, Reciently on Nanwas. Usualy finishing on C12k or Shapton 16k.
