    Default Natural Progression

Did my first 100% bevel to finish all natural progression tonight

I started with an antique store Henckels, dull with no issues

I started with a Hindostan with heavy slurry and did three sets of 40 circles with pressure and several dilutions and finished with 20 x-strokes (now cuts arm hair)
Next up an AJ Dragon's Tongue with heavy slurry and did sets of 40, 30, 20 circles with dilutions and finished with 20 x-strokes (very sharp now!)
next BBW using less pressure and medium slurry 2 sets of 30 circles, 30 x-strokes with several dilutions (slightly sharper)
next Coticule water only, 30 no pressure circles then 60 x-strokes ( tree tops arm hair)
next AJ Llyn Melynllyn water only 10 x-strokes no or negative pressure (very crisp edge)

    next 10 CrOx paddle, 40 linen/ 60 leather

    Results - very nice shave!!!

Good going! Sounds like you have come up with a nice way to hone your razors.

Nice! I wish my stones from AJ would get here so I could try them out.

Congrats. So far I'm really liking my stones from AJ, glad to hear you're having success with yours as well

I am wanting to pursue an all Japanese Natural progression only for my Kamisori razors, I am doubting that I can beat the Coticule-Nakayama duo I am using now but I wish I could find a Japanese replacement for it

I'm very finisher heavy with my natural stones, so I'm very happy to find that what I think is a Hindostan and the AJ Dragons Tongue are very aggressive cutters with heavy slurry. Going from about 4k and up has never been a problem for me, but setting a decent bevel with my naturals has been until last night. Now I have to see if it works twice.
