I'm working the pyramid and like the dogmatic approach. my question is this to help determine when I've nailed it and that is is it possible to get a smooth against the grain shave after stropping of course. I get smooth WTG and XTG but not ATG and wondering if its possible to get smooth, irritation free shaves ATG from an 8K. Thx

+1. I'm not sure, but I think that a razor that gives a smooth shave WTG and XTG should also do ATG. So I'm postulating that it is a technique issue. Maybe a shallower angle and guillotine strokes ?Quote:

ATG is definitely doable off the 8k. My shave test is to do the fools pass straight off. If it tugs, it wasn't done.
