At that price, why not?
Thanks Jokeys. Either the knife wont lock, or the lock closes too much and i either have to pop it loose with a screw driver or loosent the screw.
Cant complain about a $5 knife though.. Will just keep it on my workbench and buy a non-chinese one.
thanks for all the great info in this thread.
Dresspants: William Henry Carbon Fiber and damascus, or an Atwood Fixer
Khakis/fancy jeans: Chris Reeve small sebenza
Real jeans/Cargos/Carhardts: Hinderer XM-18 3.5" flipper
Expensive taste sir, very nice options indeed
Thank you. Like with most (all) of my hobbies/obsessions, I go through a few phases, as I have with knives.
Phase one: I'll spend some dough, but I want to get somethign passable (bought some buck knives, some kershaw)
Phase Two: Can I do this cheap? (bought about a million cheap crap knives)
Phase three: Can I get stupid expensive "the best" stuff? And I bought a couple insane customs that I never used.
Phase four: Can I buy GOOD stuff, really good, that I'll actually use? And that is what is included above for folders. Fixed blades are another story (recovering Busse addict).
Razors: Dovo, etc --> ebay and gold dolalrs ----> a couple customs ----> a few lower cost customs, restored OLD blades, and a few new nice ones.
Flashlights: Surefire ---> chinese cheapo's ---> innane customs with ridiculous battery requirements and McGizmos ---> Malkoffs with a clip and two stage, Muyshondt Aeon and well, mcGizmos are made to be used, so they are in both "phases."
Scotch: Blah Blah Blah
Cigars: Blah blah blah
Ask my wife sometime (better yet...don't remind her!!) she's seen this cycle a few times!
haha, yer, I guess we all do things differently. I tend to wait around for real bargains, usually means I don't up with the 'best' stuff, but I generally end up with really good stuff that I got for not a lot of money.
I got a TOPS Storm Rider the other day, not an amazing knife, but a high quality one. Traded it for a Boker Plus Edit, I paid £28 for the edit and the Storm Rider retails for £160. That's a good deal in any ones money.
