My New Work Knife
My new every-day shop knife is all done and ready to use! I made the blade from CPM 154 and pre-ban ivory then sent it to my mother for a horizontal carry sheath. This is just her third sheath and it's made from steerhide with a stingray inlay. I've been using this knife almost exclusively since it was finished. Comfortable, nice-looking, and incredibly sharp. Perfect around the shop and everywhere else.

Thanked: 1936That is very nice. It is both utilitarian and has a graceful beauty about it as well. I am fond of a wedge grind myself.
Does the sheath hold the blade by friction or some sort of mechanical means?Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

I like it. Not the grind I would have expected you to choose for yourself.
...but your sheath is prettier than mine...
