Wetterlings makes an ax of similar quality. Having used both side by side I would not hesitate to buy a Wetterlings.

I'm not good at identifying axes, so what brand are your axes?
Do you get to use them?
Hey John:
They are both Norlund Hudson Bay pattern
The larger is 7" with a 4 1/8" bit and 26" handle (Boy's / Canoe Axe)
The smaller is 5" with a 3 1/8" bit and 12" handle (Hatchet / Tomahawk)
I have only used the larger one around the yard. It takes an awesome edge.

And .... I customized our back yard shade tree :)

About to pull the trigger on a Wetterlings Forest Clearing Axe or a Gransfors Bruks Scandinavian Forest Axe...
Edit: Ordered the Wetterlings, can't wait for it to show now!!!
Get them pics up when it gets here,,,:D
Will do! After the ice-storm that hit us last thursday, I will have plenty to chop up. The Estwing camp axe that I have worked nice to clear the driveway and some roads...but it was lacking and couldn't get the Huskvarna saw to start...
i really like my scandi forest axe. It's not meant to chop up big trees or rounds but for smaller fallen branches and logs it should be just fine.
I've got this to clean up when my new axe shows...shipped today. That ice storm made a mess of all my beautiful mature trees. After all the ice has melted, honestly looks like a tornado came through...what a mess
