DAMON, WHERE ARE YOU? Come on its not fair keeping us all in suspense like this. :)
Damn it Damon...Hurry...up! :)
Mick
Anyone heard,
a word,
from a male,
who lives in Wales,
Damon is his name,
disapearing is his game,
perhaps no good,
was his sandalwood,
I know my rhymes are poo,
But late at night its the best I could do.
I think he got lost in all the smoke from the hookah he was using in the Pipe Thread.
After seeing a photo of him smoking that Hooka pipe, I doubt if he's even come back to earth yet when you consider strength of the Marijuana they grow in Wales these days.:D
Jamie did you read about the cannabis growing out of the council flower pots in Newport? 'New-pot in bloom': Cannabis plants found growing in council flower pots in Newport - Wales Online
Can't you just go knock on his door?
Yes I saw that Pete, you wouldn't believe what they found last week in my home town a big cannabis operation in the old disused Miners hall in the middle of the town, the thing is this new skunk they produce today is mind blowingly strong compared to the old cannabis resin most people have come to know.£250k drug farm in derelict Merthyr pub - Wales Online
I will pm you my address so I will swap you some for some Nannys silly soap or tabac, what would you prefer?
So the Coppers screwed that little operation right up then? They should have gone in to inspect in the early hours and then set up a surveillance operation from within and without the premises to catch these people.
Slight change of subject; Are there any Welsh Language Papur Newydd...Online?
Mick
Well Mick I only read the WalesOnline: News, sport, weather and events from across Wales that's my daily haven't purchased a daily paper for about 8 years, but I manage to find this for you don't know if this will be of interest to you?GWYBODIADUR: Welsh-Language Media
Thanks Jamie, it's something I hadn't found before, though not what I was hoping for. A pity they don't have a daily newspaper in Welsh, but I suppose there are many other items that are printed in Welsh (I have a few books in Welsh and a Scrabble board and no one to play with :)). I've added the link to my list of bookmarks, and I will go through it when I'm finished here.
Mick
Have you seen this Mick, must be fairly rare when you consider the price.

The used ones arent too bad.
Sorry guys didn't mean to drop off the face of the Earth...
And for the record, she shaves beautifully!
Yeah, she shaves beautifully, but what the heck happened to you. A lot of us were worried you went and did ? and was suffering for it. And glad you're back (stay off the hookah, you looked like you were enjoying it too much.)
My dearest, deepest, most sincere apologies to everybody for disappearing, i'm afraid the only explanation i have is i got really caught up with the hustle and bustle of life, again my apologies. Never worry too much about me though, i'll always be alright, but im back for the long run so everything is content! My hookah's are my babies, i only smoke Shisha through them, never any narcotics or anything down them roads, simply sugar coated molases, i've been hooked since smoking a Hookah in the middle of the desert with a bunch of bedoins...
Hey Damon, glad.you are back, how are the shaves progressing?
Welcome, Young Sir!
i have only just joined myself but have a few years on you. The language fascinates me! I was on the Llyn Peninsula just recently at a place called Pistyll but which the ice-cream man told me was pronounced more like Pea-Stick! I also went to Nant Gwythern to the Welsh Language School - It is so beautiful! But nobody told me how to pronounce Llyn - it seems to have a circumflex accent over the 'Y'. Can you help an old writer?
Incidentally. I have just started straight razor shaving and it is nowhere near a scary as you think. I would suggest that you start with a 'shave ready' though as honing is apparently a black art and possibly not necessary! I know a good man or two on eBay if you would like a pointer without spending a fortune!
OK. That's 'Hello, Mr Peters, and welcome to the forum' Correct? Every day's a school day!
Got as far as 'Thank you, Mick' Then totally lost. Wish I wasn't!
It says 'Wales' in there somewhere!
Isn't 'popty' a bakery? Confused!
It helps if you use the 'reply with quote' button instead of just 'reply'. Or I you want to do a whole bunch of quotes like I have with your posts above, click on that little quotation symbol to the right of 'reply with quote' for each item you want to quote. It helps everyone with the context of what you are saying. :)
Llyn has the letter Ll which is like an aspirated L with a little spit end it at the back of the tongue. Put the tip of your tongue behind your top teeth, breath out and say Sluh. Best I can describe how it sounds. The Y sounds like an I and the word would sound a little like 'Slin' . Llyn is the word for Lake/Pond/Pool (although Pwll means Pool or Pond as well). Cymru (Cum-Ree) is Wales.
Hope that's of some help mate.
Mick
you dont have to apolagise to us Damon, i have been swamped with homework from college so i have been quiet round here as well.
have you got your strop and brush yet Damon?
Just nicked myself again :/ (Scuse the scruff)Attachment 142175Attachment 142176
so how many shaves in are you now?
you can still use your mach 3 you know to get rid off silly bum fluff on your top lip and chin:p
Glad you're doing well
I'd say roughly 7/8 shaves in? Only cut myself on 2/8 shaves so it's going pretty good.
I'm growing my top lip for a laugh but yeah it's quite hard to get at the chin with a straight & i'm still learning so i'll use a mach 3 most of the time but ill give it a go with the straight, have to learn some time!
My straight feels very dull though, i've been stropping on a leather belt, not sure if it's my angle(it might be because most of the time it shaves like a charm!)
If you are ever in my neck of the woods I'll give your a hands on shaving lesson, you can watch me shave, I've given a member from Cardiff one lesson set him up nicely that was about a year ago he's still going strong.
That's a generous offer Jamie. If I were you Damon I would take it up, it's only about 1.1/4 hours on the x75 bus or you could drive it in about 50 mins. What you could most likely learn in a day will pronlbably take you weeks of foruming and experementing on your own, I wish I lived closer to some of the experienced members for that reason, but I suspect that they are glad I don't :)
