Default Jumping in with both feet.

Greetings. I have toyed with the idea of straight razor shaving for a while and decided to take the plunge. I just ordered a wet shave kit here but also have two razors that belonged to my grandfather. I just received them yesterday and am a bit disappointed in their condition. It looks like it might be a while before they are useable. Ready to learn...

Welcome!!! That's wonderful that you got some of your grandfathers razors. If you get a chance, feel free to post some pictures of the razors.

Give your grandfather's razors a good wiping with steel polish and see how much gunk comes off. You may be lucky and find a lot of active rust that is easily removed. Don't forget to take some before and after pictures!
