I'm from just outside Philadelphia, new to straight razors. If fact I still have not used one yet. I found a cool old H.Boker tree brand razor, while going through some old family stuff. Did some research and found out is about a 1925-1935, then ended up finding this place. And it seem to be a wealth of information. So here I am.

Really looking forward to learning to enjoy shaving. Up until now it's just been something that I've had to do and just a chore. Since finding the straight razor and read some stuff, I went out and tried some of the different and wonderful shaving creams and realized that I have been missing out, and that theirs a lot of enjoyment that can be had with this thing, I have to do either way.

So glad to be here.

P.S. - As I stated above I have found a razor, but don't know a whole bunch about it. I came here to t learn how to use it, but first off I need to find a place to have it restored a bit and honed. Any references?
