Newbie from Virginia
Hello SRP
I've been shaving with DE razors for the last few months, and recently moved to Gem and Ever Ready SE razors. Having found I really enjoy shaving for the first time in my life (been shaving since the mid 70's), and having moved into the more aggressive safety razors, it made sense for me to look into Str8 Razor shaving. I have just purchased a Morris 11/16 Red Imp with a paddle strop, and am waiting for it to arrive before venturing out into the great unknown.
The blade has been honed by Glen @ Gem Star Customs, so it's shave ready. Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself, and thank everone in advance for all the help I expect I'll recieve here.

Thanks NOVARazor - I'm in Strasburg, but spent my youth in Alex and Arl. Still like going back, but love returning to the "country" after my visit. LOL.

Welcome to SRP, Shamrock. Glad to hear that you are starting off well with a razor from Glen. Everything you need is around here. If you can't find it, just ask. Everyone is really helpful here. Cheers!

Welcome from Virginia Beach! Seriously, this place is great.
State v. Durham, 323 N.W. 2d 243, 245 (Iowa 1982) (holding that a straight razor is per se a "dangerous weapon").
