Hi all, from outside of Madison WI. I can't actually say why I started collecting straight razors, but it was the history that drew me to them. I've missed the SR shaves I could get from the barber. Now as a graybeard, I thought I might actually clean mine up, and use them. Well some of them. I've lurked here for some time, reading and convincing myself I can do this. Other than stare at them in my cabinet.

I'd be a bit ashamed to show the roll I own. ALL of them either need work or a complete restoration. They were all either bought over the years at estate sales or second hand shops. I've kept an eye out.Quote:

Got them from my phone to the computer, just have to get them "shrunk"
I think they shrink automatically.

Most of the pictures coulda used some better lighting I guess. I'm working on some better pics to download to here.
Pretty high-quality bunch of blades you've got there! Your best bet for starting to use them would be to send two out for professionaly honing. Use one regularly, and use the other once a month to remind yourself how sharp the the other should be.
