Thanked: 0First post, 8 razors.
Hi all, from outside of Madison WI. I can't actually say why I started collecting straight razors, but it was the history that drew me to them. I've missed the SR shaves I could get from the barber. Now as a graybeard, I thought I might actually clean mine up, and use them. Well some of them. I've lurked here for some time, reading and convincing myself I can do this. Other than stare at them in my cabinet.
Wish me luck. And thanks for the years of info....
Yeah, I've got 8 of them.

Thanked: 0I'd be a bit ashamed to show the roll I own. ALL of them either need work or a complete restoration. They were all either bought over the years at estate sales or second hand shops. I've kept an eye out.
I will post the list though. For now.......
1 Joseph Elliot marked C+C, Silver Steel, And the previous and assuming original owner had inscribed on the scales "1836" "HP"
2 GE Wostenholm & Son's marked with a pipe, etched with Washington works, The Original and True Pipe Razor
3 Boker & CO marked with a tree and Germany
4 Imperial Razor marked Warranted, Registered 20507, Germany, etched with Extra Hollow Ground and Fully Warranted
5 Marvill ____?___ Sheffield No markings. Scales have "The Old English Razor" inscribed
6 Union Cutlery OleanNY marked "Signal"
7 Unknown Marked with a long pipe (Similar to the Wostenholm) and an arrow
8 A Tredway & Sons marked HDWE C9 etched with "WIZARD" This one is in very bad shape, Scales are mismatched and a chunk of the blade is missing.
