Hello everyone, my name is Asa and I am a novice to the straight razor game. I'm here to learn and am open to constructive criticism and any and all advice. I'm a 28 year old career firefighter in central Arkansas that considers myself an anything vintage enthusiast. I like all things old and and cool. I grew up with a grandpa that owned antique stores and he along with my dad are pickers of hit and miss engines, tractors, gas pumps, gas signs and old iron. This carried over into adulthood for me as I have begun a passion for collecting antiques myself. This hobby combined with my love of awesome facial hair eventually brought me to vintage straight razors. Decided long ago to do my part in keeping the man in manly, I decided that a mustache that I have groomed to look as good as I feel mine does should be shaved about with a straight razor as this is just another "manly" iron in the fire residing between the single malt scotch and cigars iron and the never had a pedicure iron. Hopefully I fit in with those of you here with tenure who know all things straight razor and I look forward to "meeting" you.
