this is where things are getting a little cloudy for me, so here we go.
I bought the razor here in the classifieds that said shave ready and I believe it is/was.
I've been shaving with it twice a week since I got it. as I have mentioned, I keep track of my shaves to monitor my progress.
Now, I honestly can not tell if I'm even stropping properly. If I'm stropping incorrectly, and rolling the edge, would I notice by now?
I believe razor developed the slightest tug, so I bought the SRD modular paddle and sprayed the felt with .5 diamond. for all I know the slightest tug feeling could have been more shaving technique related, than the razor needing an actual refresh.
I stropped on the sprayed felt first, then back to the non sprayed felt and leather hoping I would notice a difference to the razor which I did not.

If your razor was shaving properly out of the mailbox then, chances are, you may have degraded the edge with an improper stropping technique. A slow, steady and light touch should be used when you are learning to strop. Remember, you are not removing any steel, your are just realigning the edge. I would try 50-60 careful turns on the leather and see if it improves. If not, you may have to get the edge freshened.

all right, I just shaved last night. 20 passes on the felt(the non sprayed one) and 60 passes on the leather. It shaved just fine. I don't think I did any damage with my stropping. So my original question was How come I cannot tell any difference after I tried to refresh with the Diamond paste. I'll keep monitoring it, and Try again after another 15 to 20 shaves.
thanks

don't feel badly. I have used the diamond spray followed by crox on 6 different razors and never saw an improvement either. However, maybe all of them were already in great shape. I am waiting on one to go sour so I can try it again before resorting to the stones
