welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. A nick or two here or there is to be expected starting out. As you find questions there are many answers here. The search function will help answer some you haven't even thought to ask. Kick back and enjoy.

Hi & welcome to SRP. Glad to hear you got you a Dovo, that is a good razor but it is possible it may not have been shave ready like many advertise. It may not be a bad idea to send it out to a professional honemiester & get i honed & stropped. Also if you do that, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a shave ready spare for when you send one out to be honed. Take advantage of the Library here & learn to strop the right way & practice a lot. It is easy to strop one wrong & dull your razor fast! Once you get the stropping down, you might even wanna invest in a set of honing stones to sharpen your razors with. In the long run you come out cheaper than buying blade refills for these razors they have now days that have 5-6 blades in the cartridge. Those can get expensive raher than using a single straight razor plus they are more interesting to shave with. It is nice to do it the old fashioned way like they did back in the day or like your dear old grand dad did! Good to see you here & i hope you're here to stay!
