Smile Hello, I'm Gregory Earl From Lexington Kentucky

Gentlemen, it is a pleasure to meet you all. Been reading a few posts on the forum and gathering information. I've been a long time user of shaving soap and a brush but never seriously gave it a thought to use a straight razor until a month or so ago while visiting my parents. Upon the wall next to their fireplace my Mother has hanging my Papa's two straight razors along with the strop he used for many many years. He passed away in '77. Mom wanted to give me them but I coiuldn't bare to take them off the wall. It's a nice looking display ya know.

Anyway, looks like a nice website, there's a good smart crowd here and a nice happy bunch at that.

Glad to be a part of it.

Welcome! That's a great story about your Papa's razors. Hope you hang around and pick up an info that helps you understand how much fun SRs can be to learn about and try..

That's the problem with modern phones! A good rotary would have never done that.

Welcome to SRP GregoryEarl. By the way, we love pictures. Whenever you get back to your parents, snap a couple pictures and post them on this forum. We can never get enough pictures.

Hi and welcome. Sounds like you have some heirloom razors in your future. Maybe get them cleaned up and the strop conditioned to have them in top shape even if they are just sitting on the wall. There is plenty here to learn and the best place to start is the beginner's section in the library. Any questions feel free to ask and good luck with your straight razor journey
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed
