Welcome to SRP. Make sure to read the introduction material for new to straight razor shaving. One large word of advice. Take it very, very slowly so that you understand each step and stage required to reach a consistent and successful shave.
AND, you have found the currently most sought after razor, a Wade & Butcher. And a big one at that at a price that is making those that covet them weep audibly into their morning coffee! Believe me, they will be along presently. Hear that Phrank?
You are in Florida. Here are two members in FL that can give you a one on one intro to the art/craft of wet shaving.
Hirlau (South Florida)
Double0757 (South Florida)
Be sure to read and watch the many videos that will be referenced and postpone the desire to hone your own razor for at least 100 or more shaves. That's another world onto itself.
As being a bearded man the shaving won't be necessary. Was looking for information and possibly restoring tips ... one scale is chipped and splitting
Congrats on your W&B "Bow" razor find. I have one just like it. They are great shavers.
Welcome David,
You got a winner for that price!
I have one of those, does it have, "Keen Shaver" on one side of the tang underneath the Wade and Butcher stamp?
You can find restoration services here in the classifieds.
Welcome aboard Mchone sweeeet find....
Damn, it would be such a shame to not shave with this razor.
Ya...I'm sure some of us on here would take one for the team and volunteer to test it out lol
Is this the razor club?
Ya but he's new a moderator can move it when they get the chance
Lemme say it showed up as posted in the razor club on tapatalk... so who knows lol
A new club! I am IN!
Moved your thread from 'razor clubs' to 'razors' forum. Welcome to SRP.
I'm advised that it has since been moved again to "Introductions".
Hi and welcome. What a great beginner's find. You really have a great reason to get rid of that beard now and start to truly enjoy shaving
Welcome to SRP, David
