Disposables to an Economy Supply 44/20 Restoration?

Hello, I just purchased clean new blade that needs new scales. I'm noticing now that the hone wear appears to be minimal but is progressively wider at the tip than the joint. Can this be fixed with honing? The tip of the back scales is broken, and it does not close in the center.

I just wanted to introduce myself and figure out if it's worth restoring. I only paid 10 dollars for it. I wanted to buy a fancy $200+ something or other, but I figured I need to skip ahead and get myself into a custom vintage razor from the get-go and take it from there!

definitely looks like a good razor to restore. don't think the hone wear is a problem. put some new scales on it a have it professionally honed, should be good to go! And Welcome to SRP!

The razor looks pretty good, it should make a great project. Clean it up, find someone to hone, strop it up and use it up!

Thanks all, appreciate the links and advice. Where are the people that do rescale restoration linked? Should I do it myself? I did a custom seiko last year so I'm not too scared.
