Welcome to SRP!
Feel free to ask us any questions you may have.
Hi & welcome to the forum Mrchick. You will learn a lot here & if you happen to progress to a straight you'll find that moving on to one is a much more comfortable, smoother & closer shave when honed & stropped right. There's nothing wrong with what you are using & many here use the same thing. I hope you find this an enjoyable website as well. Any questions, just ask.
Good luck my friend.
Thank you. I have a straight that will be my starter straight when I master the Feather. I want to get some confidence before moving on.

I don't blame you. Just take your time & you will be okay. You will most importantly need a strop for a straight & you can practice with a butter knife so that you don't cut your strop up. it has happened to the best of us when starting out. If you do accidentally cut one, you can either sand it out or glue it back down with CA (super glue) or some rubber cement. I just hope that doesn't happen because it will also dull your edge on the straight.
Looks like a nice straight razor there. It looks like it says FAULTLESS which is made by a man named Koch I think. I could be wrong though, I need to look it up. Good starter razor but you might want to send it out to be honed if it isn't shave ready.
Yes. It's a Faultless which I know nothing about. Any info would be appreciated. The razor was said to have ten shaves since a professional honing. I have these two strops. The flexible one is horsehide and looks to be new. The bench strop is from GemStar Customs. I just need to learn how to use this stuff. [emoji1]
