Hello SRP, I wasn't even aware that a SR forum like this existed. By chance I was surfing for Straight razors and got stumbled upon this amazing place.
I have been Wet Shaving for over 8 years now but it was always with the Cartridges. A recent visit to Tampa and I stopped at the legendary knife maker Stan's place. He repaired one of his own razors and I bought it back home with me. I always wanted to try SR and he got me hooked. did my first shave with SR the entire shave as opposed to beginners tips and I must say no nicks or cuts.
Luckily so, i did not even get any bumps (in my 8 years, I always got bumps on my neck area) The shave was not close to the cartridge razors I used but I understand that has to be my wrong technique.
However, this forum will lead me to shaving nirvana and my own Zen. I stopped before even beginning to post questions or read more, I should stop and say Hi to all. Thanks and look forward to my learning or SR Shaving nirvana.
And Lynn, thanks for starting this forum and making those amazing videos. Thumbs UP!!

Thanks for the warm welcomes friends... My Razor already lost the sharpness and my beard pulls... Off the purchase another one and a shavette as well.

Going to send that 1st one out to get honed? I'm a big fan of my Dovo Shavette, that thing has been through alot of roadtrips

Yep, already bugged Lynn about it and it wil be going out tomorrow hopefully.... On my way Fter work today to pickup a Dovo Shavette as i like no bumps and dont want to use cartridge. Plus it will be good to add a shavette coz it comes handy on those trips and TSA checkpoints
