Been lurking for a while, thought I should say hello. I just started wet shaving a few weeks ago, started with an Edwin Jagger DE89. I picked it up quickly and was soon getting some amazingly good shaves.
In reading the forums and watching videos, I became fascinated by straight razors. So I now have 9 straight shaves under my belt. Getting decent at it. Still a ways to go.
I have one professionally honed razor, and three more that need it. Ordering some hones after payday and giving it a go myself. Nothing too pricy so if I screw one up it isn't terrible.
