welcome to SRP sdsumarks. This is the place to be for straight info!
In the end it will be okay.
If it's not okay, it's not the end.

Hi sdsumarks!
Welcome to SRP. I'm not on here as much as I was several years ago, but I've been shaving with a straight for about 6 years. I got into restoring vintage razors for myself and had a lot of fun doing it, although I've not done much in the past few years. Be careful - it is very addictive. I started the journey with the goal of saving money on shaving.....well, it's the thought that counts, lol. There are a lot of great guys on here that are glad to help answer any questions you have. Be sure to check out the library for a wealth of information.
Depending on what part of Atlanta you live in, I'm not too terribly far away in Auburn, AL (I consider ATL my "home" airport). I'd be happy to meet with you and show you all my razors, hones, etc. if you're game for a road trip. Private message me if you're interested in meeting for some razor talk.

Thanked: 3795Welcome to SRP.
My in-laws are moving to Athen, GA next month. Odds are good that we'll be down there a couple times a year. If someone in the area is willing to host for a meet-up, I would do what I could to help that. Meet-ups are a great way for beginners to get a jump start on this endeavor.
