Hello straight shavers! Better late than never.
Hi,
My name in Mirek and I live in Poland. I have started shaving with straight razor 2,5 years ago.
My first razor was 4/8 Swedish ASTA (C. V. HELJESTRAND, ESKILSTUNA). Although it is nice, small razor, I have found it hard to hone and strop especially for the beginner.

Then I have bought a chopper 8/8 Charlex. I was still beginner and it was little bit to big for me, but I have used it till today. Charlex was much easier to hone and strop. By the way, first honing was made not by be, but someone who knows how to do it properly.

Then I have spent $6 for Gold Dollar, just for learning how to hone razors. I have used Katto (Taidea) 400/1000, 3000/8000, MST Mόller and cheap 12K stone from China.
Though I was using straight razor quite often, shaving was not a real pleasure for me. This has changed when I have bought 6/8 Puma. What a great shaver!

From the first shave with Puma I have decided to switch completely to straight from DE razor.
The next move was to get some tools. For a moment I was thinking about getting something brand new, like Thiers Issard, Koraat or Wacker, but after long research I have chosen Filarmonica 14 and Wade & Butcher (9/8 - 7/8) both for renovation. I will see if it was good choice.
