Thanked: 1Hello fellow wet shavers
Hey,
Been a long time coming but I'm finally straight razor shaving. Brought some right old clangers years ago didn't have the tools or the stones/plates now I have and I'm loving using my razors it's turned something from a complete bore into something rather fulfilling.
I've got lots of questions so please bare with me, and I'll be trawling through these pages for a good few weeks..
One first question if we're is the best place/section to learn about the history or IDing razors? I love learning about the history of them, adds to the mystique.
Cheers

Hello Cutlersdream and welcome aboard. Glad you found us. There are plenty of good folks around here to help you find the information you are looking for. Make sure to post some pictures of your gear. We love pictures. Also tell us more about how you came into it and your journey.
As to your question: there is good info in many places here about razors, manufacturers, history, etc. A good place to start is in the shave library but also in the Razors subforum the Shaving Equipment forum:
https://sharprazorpalace.com/razors/
There are some other places outside our site too with good history like strazors.com for instance. He is a member here as well. In general do an advanced search and follow the results. That's how I came to this site. I did Google searches and it kept leading me to threads here.
Enjoy your stay and don't be afraid to ask if you have questions. There is always someone around to help.Last edited by PaulFLUS; 02-18-2023 at 05:31 PM.
