Argh, just re-read the chain, looks like you have already pulled the trigger. Ah well, offer still stands for other newbies.

Welcome to the forums! Youve found a great group of people and information!
The Classifieds are the way to go for sure :) If you have questions about the a razor you see on there, don't be afraid to msg the seller! I did when I was looking for my first razor, and I'm sure everyone selling a razor on there would be equally as helpful :)
Good luck and can't wait to read/see what you end up with :D
If you have any questions please feel free to msg me. Glad to help!
welcome to the board. I am new myself to this forum. There is a lot of nice people here with a lot of knowledge. I myself have been looking at the classifieds to choose my first straight razor. So many choices. I primarily use a Muehle DE and love it but want to experience a better shave. My wife thinks I am nuts. She said last night that all I need is a bic and some cream. EEEK! Anyway good luck and good shaving.
Finally got my Razor..... and she's a BEAUT. It is a J.R. Torrey Blade with dark green scales. Cant wait to try it out.
Where are the pics?
As for the antique stores in town, there are only so many. And, they may have been recently picked over. I usually have stuff kicking around that I haven't gotten to yet. If you want to do a restore, let me know. Maybe you can save me a couple of hours of hand sanding.
