No blood is a good start. However that is not a matter of If you will ever have blood, but when. Just push the razor lightly.

Sounds like you have done some homework and have started off right, remember what Mike said, use just enough effort to keep the blade on the face. If you have to push, something is wrong, back up and re think it.
What razor(s) do you have?
Well I must be doing something right, ear lobe and chin bleeding. I'm using a Dovo imitation tortoise shell 5/8 from Straight razor designs. Any guidance on chin shaving?
Welcome. I usually shave my chin area every couple of days to get more growth going and make the shave easier. "Cheating" I call it.
