Thanked: 0Hey everyone!
First post. Hope all are doing good today. I've been reading around the site for a while. Had my first straight razor shave today. Not the best shave yet, but no blood.

Thanked: 995No blood is a good start. However that is not a matter of If you will ever have blood, but when. Just push the razor lightly.

No blood! Thats no fun, come back when ya do it right, we need the entertainment.
Sounds like you have done some homework and have started off right, remember what Mike said, use just enough effort to keep the blade on the face. If you have to push, something is wrong, back up and re think it.It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Thanked: 0Well I must be doing something right, ear lobe and chin bleeding. I'm using a Dovo imitation tortoise shell 5/8 from Straight razor designs. Any guidance on chin shaving?

Welcome. I usually shave my chin area every couple of days to get more growth going and make the shave easier. "Cheating" I call it.
