Hello, guys! I was reading Money magazine this month. A good little article on how "green" the DE razors are. Reminded me that I have always wanted to try a straight razor. And how much "greener" can you get?? So, here I am!!
While looking at razors to buy, I thought some of the older ones were absolutely beautiful. So, I have messed around and bought three on ebay that I would like to restore. I am still trying to decide on what razor to buy to shave with for now. Any ideas?
Welcome to SRP. The best place to get a razor to shave with would be from one of the SRP sponsoring vendors whose ads you'll see in the sidebars or from the SRP classifieds. Whatever you do make sure you specify that it be pro honed. You can also find good deals in the SRP classifieds in the tool bar above. Again, make sure the razor is specified to be shave ready. Peruse the pages of the vendors who advertise here on SRP. That should whet your straight razor appetite. I know that at least two of the vendors are having sales on straight razors. One even has a featured razor and strop as well as a complete shaving set sale each month. Check it out.
What ever razor you finally decide to purchase, make certain that it is expertly honed.
