    Default New to Wetshaving

    Hello everyone -

I just started wetshaving about two weeks ago with a DE razor and all of the comments/suggestions on this site have been extremely helpful. How to lather soap, what products to try, etc. This morning and yesterday morning have been the two best shaves of my life and only want to get better! I look forward to learning even more....

    Thanks!

Welcome to SRP. Glad to hear that the site has been helpful. It just keeps getting better as you'll see. Smooth shaving.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thank you all for making me welcome.

Update on how it's going: I've just started to experiment with different razor blades. I started with Merkur blades and just tried Personna blades the last two mornings. So far I prefer the Personna blades far more than the Merkur blades. The Merkur blades feel rough in comparison and irritate my face more.

I have also purchased Derby, Dorco, Feather, and Gillete 7 O'clock blades and will try them all in the near future to see which ones work best for me. It seems I've seen these brands the most throughout SRP. Are there any other blade brands you would recommend trying?
