Hey y'all,

Both a noob to the forum and to SR shaving. Started out w/ a parker disposable blade and VDH starter kit w/ boar brush. Have since moved up to a 6/8 blonde Dovo, have a shea moisture badger brush and a swaty on the way to me (I know, I won't need the swaty for a long while, since my Dovo was honed by Lynn, but Swatys aren't getting cheaper and I heard that Glen is as good as they come...). I have to admit, that while I have a loooonnnnggg way to go, my shaves are already very comfortable and smoother in most areas than my gillette disposables have ever given me (except for those pesky whiskers under the jawline that grow backwards and that dang area on my upper lip...ouch...)

I live in Odell, TX, just a half mile from the Red River. Any other members nearby? I'm exactly 3 hours from Oklahoma City, Amarillo and Dallas, if that helps any...Hope to one day meet some of y'all face to face to further my SR education...
