Live from Oregon, it's Tuesday morning!
Hello SRP!
My name is Nathan, and I am not exactly new to wetshaving. That being said, I'm somewhat more new than a lot of you. It's been about 7 months now since I started wetshaving. My starter kit was a Futur, a Col. Conk pure badger brush and stand, a puck of C&E Nomad and matching aftershave.
As time has gone by, I've been successfully converted to shaving with SE razors. The shaving gods have cursed me with a strange mass of steel wool that plagues my face, and there's no better tool to whack it off than a GEM Micromatic or Harner 8/8. Now, sadly, I don't own the Harner (it is a beast of a razor, that one, property of my friend Erik), as I am a poor college student :boohoo:I don't have the money to get in to straight shaving right now, but I'm sure my stent here will convince me otherwise. What can I say? I'm weak. The acquisition disorders hit me hard.
Anyhow, I'm here to try new things. I fully intend to jump headfirst in to straight shaving as I did with wetshaving, probably over winter break or over the summer. I tried the Badger & Blade, but found them to be pretty elitist, and have since left their midst. I took a look around, and saw that the TOS here didn't include the word "gentlemen" 7 times (as the B&B TOS does), and decided that this place might suit me better. I look forward to talking with you fellas (and ladies, too).
Cheers :beer2:
Nathan
