    Default Hello guys

Hello guys ,im fourteen years old i live in pa and im hooked on stright razors, It all started out last year when i did a report on how men shaved back in the 50s i came across this site and became hooked so i went and asked a local barber for and extra razor, I made a strop out of a wide leather belt and here i am i use my old german full hollow ground razor once a week to keep my stubble off. I never intend on ever using a multiblade throw away razor. I just wanna thank you guys so much for your incuragement it means alot

Welcome to SRP. Cool to be starting out with straight razors at your age.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Welcome to SRP!

It sounds like you have been doing your homework (excuse the pun! ) and finding out a lot about the hobby! Thats great, and it will definately stand you in good stead.

I just wish I'd started using straight razors when I was 15, it would have saved me a lot of grief. I dont think it would have saved me any money though..!

Welcome again, good luck and keep us posted!

    Hello, Deerhunter:

Welcome to Straight Razor Place. We are delighted to have you with us.

I wish I were 14 and starting out with the straight razor. I am an old geezer, however, but in the world of wet shaving with a straight razor that means little. Young and old makes no difference: as long as you shave with the straight razor.

Oh, by the way, the old geezers here are cool dudes, too.

    Regards,
    Obie

Welcome to the site and enjoy Have you started asking around the family members if anyone has some straight razors? I got one from my great grandfather and one from my grandfather. Great keepsakes that can be used to remember them for years to come

    Default edit

i wanted to add this on the last post but i couldent get the edit to work, I have not been able to find anything on the (celebrated hollow ground razor) from w&b over the past year so if anyone could shed some light on my razor please do so, I know shes not pretty but she does the job.
