    Default Hello From Pensacola

    Hi Everyone,

    I am stationed in Pensacola at the time being and have recently gotten into straight razor shaving. I was actually lured to the straight razor world because of The Art of Shaving...soon realizing after purchasing my straight razor from them I paid wayyy too much and it wasn't even shave ready. Like any normal self-empowered addict, I went and bought a nice line of Naniwa stones to sharpen my overpriced dull dovo all by myself. Shockingly enough, I can't get the razor shave ready so save my life. I honestly don't even know if I could cut myself shaving with it.

    Quite the introduction I know, but I look forward to joining this wonderful community and relying on the support of the members to get me through this "butter knife honing" I have been partaking in.

    Welcome aboard! There is a lot of great information and people here. Since you are serving our country, pm me if you would like to have it honed at no charge so that you know what a "shave ready" razor is all about. Once you really get into this sport, there is no turning back...you have been warned!

    Welcome to SRP! This is a very addicting new hobby you're embarking on. Take Shooter up oh his offer to hone your razor, I am certain you will be extremely pleased with the result. Keep us posted on your progress.
    Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???
