    Default Hello from Kentucky

Hello to all, I have been playing around with a couple of straight razors now for about 15 years. I've decided to get serious and really learn this art of old. I've been reading around a lot of treads and I have a question about strops............. Do you treat the leather with any thing or just use it taned?

Hello and welcome to SRP. As far as your strop question, are you planning on making your own, or is this a vintage or purchased one?

    Default thank you for asking

I've made 2 with some thick leather I had in my shop. It's very smooth.

    Welcome aboard!

If you made your own strop, check out the wiki for conditioning. It's pretty straight forward, but very important if you are not to fruck up your razors.
