Default I prefer FNG to newbie..I hope that's ok. Southern Illinois

Hey I'm pretty new to straight razors. I'm not really sure I can contribute too often, as it seems, if I can think of it, it's already been done. That pretty much goes for every genius idea I thought I had in the last month with regard to straight razor shaving and restoration. I'm a full time student, veteran, and have been called "the ninja of cheap" on more than one occasion. I really like this straight shaving thing so far. And restoring them is a great way to spend free time. I do spend an unreasonable amount of time on this site. I'm hoping that "gotta know everything" hunger I'm feeling now, starts to subside before I've spent my savings on a full set of every suggested hone, a Wade and Butcher, and scale material of every type. I'm fairly long winded, and if you get me into a conversation you may never get away. I live in southern Illinois, which sounds like suthrn ilinoy if you say it out loud. Thanks to all you who have set this site up. Although I haven't spent much time on any forums like this before, yours is really a cut above. Sorry about the pun...seemed appropriate.

Wow I didn't realize I was so close! I'd be stretching it to say I have ANY skills just yet. But it'd be great to meet a true professional. I'll consider myself officially invited, with a TBD timeline. Thanks so much! Just don't give me a hard time when I break out my pen and notepad!

Lynn is Yoda. If I lived that close I'd be there already. Can't learn from anyone better.
