    Default Greetings from Denmark

    Hi

I've been lurking these forums for a little while now, and thought it about time I introduced myself.
I live in Denmark, 31 years old, and always wet shaved using the standard Gilette. About 4 month ago when shopping for blades, I spotted a Palmolive Shavestick, and wondered how it worked, so I bought it, and decided to test it. It wasn't until I got home I saw the little brush logo on the side
Well I wasn't about to toss the equivalent to $3, so I got online and searched the web for how to use a shavestick. As it turned out I needed a brush...
So I bought a Edwin Jagger pure badger brush, some Derby lime cream and some TOBS sandalwood soap, and started lathering the proper way
I really loved the feeling of warm lather on my face, so I decided to go Youtube surfing for straight razor usage, and ended up wanting to try it.

Last Wednesday I ordered the Invisible Edge starter set, and am currently waiting on the delivery, which should be some time late next week. Can feel how excited I am to try it out, so hope I don't nick myself to much and get scared off

Hi Winther and Welcome to the Forum. Spend the next week watching and learning as much as you can. You will have no issues with that first shave if you follow the wiki and advice of the members here. You could even grab some newpaper and a butter knife and work on some stropping technique while you wait.

If you razor is coming shave ready, do yourself a favour and do not strop it before your first shave. Get at least one under your belt so you can feel what a sharp razor feels like before you screw it up on the strop. I do not say this to center you out as it is something we all probably did.

Enjoy and remember we all like to see razor porn, so post up some pics of your new kit when it arrives

Thanks. It does indeed come shave ready and professionally honed.
Good idea with the stropping exercises, perhaps I'll do that.
