    Default Hello everyone!

Hello everyone, I'm from Michigan and I've been collecting and shaving with straight razors, vintage safety razors, mugs and brushes for about 2 years now. I probably should have found this place earlier! I do a lot of projects and I'm mostly into "well used" stuff. I'm looking forward to being a member of this forum!

Welcome! I'd like to hear about your learning process. My favorite thing about this community is how we're all resurrecting this skill that's been lost for probably two generations, and how most of us fumbled around uninformed before finding SRP. I have yet to meet someone who learned to straight-shave from an older relative.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I actually started wet shaving because I was constantly getting irritation from modern disposables. I had a WKC razor that I bought brand new years ago when I collected pocket knives just lying around and so I decided to try and learn. I learned mostly by trial and error but I have picked up a few tips from the internet. I bought a cheap antique razor to take some of the workload off of the WKC and I loved the process of honing and restoring the edge, and I have been addicted to it ever since!
