I'm Aly I'm a 26 year old lady from South Florida. I came across this site while trying to christmas shop for my husband because I know he's in love with the idea of using a straight razor. Ive been looking and reading on this site since yesterday and I've fallen in love with it!
I grew up watching my grandfather shave with a brush and straight razor and since I love sharp and pointy object I was a bit jealous I don't get to use one, till I read up that I could! So now I'm not just learning for my husband but myself as well.
I familiar with the concept of shaving with a straight razor since I my father taught me to sharpen knives. I never cook with a dull knife. heh
And a simple check to see if my knife was sharp enough was if my dad could shave arm hair or such with it.
So I have done that for years.
I am so excited to learn more and shop for my husband and myself. He shaves his head as well so he is sick of going through disposables.
