Thanked: 1Hello
My name is Toby. I found this site after doing some research about vintagestraightrazors . com, a site which I have found through this forum to sell razors that are...in a word...crap. I don't usually shave, I usually sport a manly, wild, unkempt beard that I quite enjoy, but when I do I use a double edged safety razor that requested a birthday gift several years ago. The recent post on Woot and coming across my grandfathers straight razor in my dad's junk drawer has led me to have a desire to advance my wet shaving to the next level. I can see after a quick overview of these forums that this is the place to properly learn the art. I look forward to absorbing knowledge that you gentlemen can offer.

Thanked: 275Welcome -- you've come to the right place.
Now start reading the Wiki's -- they're very good. Ask questions as they occur to you.

Thanked: 1Thanks Charles, I realize that saying that I don't shave often doesn't make for a great first impression at a website dedicated exclusively to shaving. However, I do know that I won't always have this beard. I will check out those wikis too. I look forward to getting to know the great folks on these forums.
I tapped this out.Last edited by StuPimlico; 12-04-2011 at 09:22 PM.

G'day Tody and welcome to SRP.
+1 to Charles' post regarding the WIKI.
There is lots of useful information in the relevant sub-forums as well.
You will find that lots of the members here have beards and the edges of them are the straightest you'll see anywhere.
Hang on and enjoy the ride.
