    Default Ahoy from Maryland!!

Afternoon all. James here, I hail from the upper north eastern part of Maryland. I am new to the posting but I have been visiting the site for about 3-4 months now. I currently have in my possession the following:

Challenge Cutlery Rifle Razor (currently out for a re-hone because i dropped the razor. Thankfully I am sure the damage is repairable.)
    127 Illonois Razor strop
Van Der Hagen Brush and bowel
The Art of Shaving Lemon scented Cream, Pre-shave oil and Facial scrub

I am planning on upgrading my set as soon as I am capable. Though thanks for letting me participate in this endeavor!!

Well I am thinking of upgrading my bowel and brush. I would make my own bowl, but I havent had access to a potters wheel in a few years. I definatly want to buy a badger-hair brush for sure.

I just bought the "kettle" mug from classicshaving.com; it's great and I love it. It's like an enclosed mug that fits the brush in nicely, while at the same time, you fit a scuttle puck atop it. It's functional and practical. The water stays hot in it while shaving and it ensures that your lather is always warm and pleasant as well. Combine it with a fine badger brush and you will begin to know what heaven can be like.

I have seen those! Friend of mine who I recently helped get into wet shaving showed me this. I think it would be an investment if its that good. I will see what I can do in that regard. Now all I have to do is get my razor back and have a good shave again.

And actually, I went the extra mile and had my initials [CFL IV] embossed on it to make it a real keepsake. But really, the fact that it keeps the water warm is priceless.
