It might go better than a lot of us, most of us had to relearn how to do it. You're learning basically for the first time. The razors on the classifieds should all be really good and shave ready. Very nice looking razor.

Hi Matt and welcome! Our boy's 15 too (16 in late July) and he shaves with his own DE now, but has shown interested in my straights as well... We'll see where that lands, eventually. You should be fine, re the razor you bought, you bought it from a stand up guy and he wouldn't sell a bad razor (wise move to go for one in here and not Ebay, this way you'll learn to know how a good edge feels like + you get a functional razor and that's not a given on Ebay, trust me).
Hi Matt welcome to this great place.
Hi, welcome.
Please don't take this as me being condescending, but can I say how pleasing it is to see a young fellow who knows how to write? I don't think you melded a number with ANY of your words! That's not to say "Str8 razor shaving is gr8" is not a valid comment on the forum, but just as some of us old folk can get a bit wordy, some young folk can get a bit 'texty'...
Welcome aboard. I have a harmonie razor and it shaves well. Just take your time and go slow.
Cheers
Hello. I started out on my dad's old DE myself. Then I wandered away from it. Now I have wandered to straights. I am pretty new myself, so I will leave it at "its a beautiful razor." I cant really say it has been a money saver for me, but I am only about 6 months in. I have probably re-couped most of the investment moving off the latest Schick 5 blade wonder.
Haha, well it's true that most people type like they're texting, and I find myself following suit after talking to someone through IM for a long enough time. so i cn be gr8 at txt tlk if i wnt. if uk wut i mean. ;) Though I generally try to keep my grammar proper with the idea of "if you don't use it, you lose it."
