    Default Hello from Northern California

    Hello all,
    I've been lurking for about three months now, and straight razor shaving for three weeks. Being a cheap guy I have been scouring thrift stores for equipment.
    When I found a Friedmann & Lauterjung Electric. Well I couldn't resist, despite it's problems.

    I included the K J MORA because it's what I taught my self to sharpen a flat single bevel on. I have been using this razor for three weeks since I decided to go clean shaven. For the first week the shave wasn't very smooth, due to using a flattened and lapped piece of irregular grossular garnet as a final hone. As far as I can tell with so little experience it shaves nicely off of my c12k from woodcraft.

    Sorry, I didn't mention, I'm in the thriving metropolis of Gridley, I haven't been to Corning in quite a while. Maybe I should figure out how to finish my profile info.
