Greetings from Lethbridge Alberta
I'm a little late with this post but hi everybody, Iv just recently started to shave with a straight razor and after getting past the unnerveing part of holding a razor sharp piece of steel near my face and throat I found that the shave I got was next to none. A friend turned me on to using a straight razor and now that we've started to acquire quite the selection of soaps and creams I started to look around for a side project, thus all my other posts of newly acquired razors from my secret hole in the wall / local antique shop. This guys selection blew me away and if anyone's in the Calgary/Lethbridge area you should really make the trip down and check out Antiques on 9th make sure to tell him you were refured my the forums. In the last week i'v bought 4 razors from the shop and 2 on Ebay and am now ready to start building my restoration shop. From what Iv found though I love the look of my three Bokers but am not to hyped on their scales so I think I'll start there being that the blades are in relatively good condition and are just needing a hone. If anyone has any advice I'm more then willing to hear and use the vast knowledge from more experienced shavers and restorers and please if any of you could recommend any sites where I could order any materials such as horn and things to make Inlays it would be more then greatfull
Thanks
Marmalade
