New one from Ukraine
Hello everyone!
I'm Andy, 42 (almost 43) from Odessa, not the TX one but UA - Ukraine. I'm lurking here at least 4 month to take all the information and help you, guys generously spread.
Now I'm totally in SR after receive the J.Openshaw Bolton 6/8 shave ready and vintage french strop.
So count me in to the AD club 8-)
And the question for sure.
Can you give me any information about my SR?

Well I can't tell you anything about the razor, but welcome to the group! I had a roommate from Ukraine during my first year of college.

Thank you guys for so warm welcome.
Truly said, I'm not totally new in wet-shaving.
I've started in school with DE my 16 BDay fathers gift. That was some Czechoslovakia razor with regulated angles. Than in my military service I used flip-top DE razor (some heavy weighted stainless steel with brutal design)
After the end of the Soviet Union I fall into the plastic crap with 1 - 2-3-4 - etc blades

Hi Andy
Welcome to the forum. No need to apologize for your English, it is very good. I can't tell you anything about your razor. I can only guess that it was made for J Openshaw to sell at his retail store. I have a razor marked with an Edinburgh cutlers name and no maker mark. It is a 6/8 with a heavier grind, not full hollow, plastic scales and a lead wedge. I can only guess that it was a Sheffield made razor specially for that retailer, sort of what we call a store brand today. Love shaving with it and did so this morning. Sometimes it is next to impossible to find much out about a razor but the important thing is the actual shave.
