Hi everyone! My name is Ashwin. I'm from from Arizona, but currently live in LA. I'm excited to start my straight razor journey, hopefully tomorrow! I purchased a Dovo Shavette from classic shaving, a best badger brush, and pre de provence shaving soap. I didn't purchase any blades though, so I'm going to head out to art of shaving in beverly hills tomorrow and see what they can do for me.

The reason I'm interested in straight razor shaving is my older brother. He's been telling me for years that straight razor shaving is the way to go, but neither of us knew where to start. So i looked up some info and found this site! I would like to learn enough to be able to buy my brother a nice straight razor kit, as an engagement present in about a month.
