G'Day D and welcome to the fold.
It sounds like you got it already (RAD that is).
Read the sticky in the 'Workshop' forum before going too crazy on the restore - it will give you lots of useful info and send the blade to a pro for honing when you are finished.
There is plenty of time to learn honing after you learn to shave and strop effectively.
You might as well get a shave ready edge after all your work.
Also, we love pictures here - so go to it.
Looking forward to seeing your work.
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

Welcome aboard. Your saga sounds much like my own when I started wet shaving, down to the Dovo best quality razor. The more you shave, the more you are going to love it, and the more toys you are going to buy . . .
Any day on this side of the flowers is a good day!

I was trying to be artsy with the glass lol.
I have read a lot from the workshop sticky and it is a little overwhelming. I decided to jump on in. Where would you recommend that I post pics of my resto progress? I was thinking "custom builds and restorations" but I do have some questions and am not sure that is appropriate thread for that?
In the mean time here's a pic of my Morley & Sons before any resto work.

Yes, Welcome! That Morley looks great! You can post in the workshop or show and tell, or the razors subforums. A good way to get more input on your first work. Sometimes you can redo something or add to it to make it better. Customs and restorations poses stiff competition! Some cool razors there! Also, razor clubs are neat. Just look at previous posts and find the best place. We will see it, wherever you post! Good Luck! Tom

    Default Hello everyone!

Thanks for the advice Tom. I've been browsing the custom builds and it has given me so many ideas, I don't know what to pick. I guess the good thing is if you're not happy with it you can always change it.
